Three generations since 1996
Gandhi Stores opened in 1996 in Darji Bazar, Rajkot. Mr. Taher Gandhi founded the shop on the market's everyday trade — dry fruits, puja samagri and the goods a household runs on — and the family has traded under the same name in this bazaar ever since.
The shop serves wholesale and retail together. A household buying a packet for the kitchen and a kirana buying a carton for the shelf draw from the same counters, and the range has grown with them: dry fruits, herbal and Ayurvedic goods, puja samagri and the useful rest of the bazaar's list.
Today Mr. Murtuja Gandhi, of the second generation, is the shop's proprietor, and Mr. Hussain Gandhi, of the third, carries it forward. Message the shop on WhatsApp or ask in person — it is the family that answers, the same way it has answered since 1996.
